Wedding - Kelly and David

Sunday, January 24, 2010 |

They found each other on the Bulgaria Alps. Kelly and David fell in love and sealed their love in a beautiful wedding ceremony at the Cottesloe Civic Centre in November last year. Kelly is a local girl from WA, who decided that she wanted some European experience after graduating from University, so she travelled to Scotland for work. David, a handsome and intelligent young Scotsman, like Kelly decided to travelled around Europe for some experience in life. It was a fairy tale story of how the two lovebirds first met during their holiday break in Bulgaria, continued to develop their friendship that turned that into love in Scotland and finally decided to returned to Kelly's hometown, Perth, to marry and settle.

After the ceremony we did the portrait session on the grounds of the Civic Centre before heading to the beach for some fun with the bridal party. Reception was held at the Cottesloe Surf Life Saving club. The reception was brilliant as it was filled with many great and funny speeches, and most of all, the awesome group dancing. The couple organised a Scottish ensemble who taught everyone at the reception some Scottish folk dancing. Most of the guests converged on the dance floor filling the air with the most unbelievable joy and fun.

Wedding - Cassandra and Leon

Monday, January 18, 2010 |

Not all marriages are made in heaven, but it's hard not to think so when your wedding is greeted by a day that could well be what it's like. It was one of those when Cassandra and Leon got married. Sunny, warm, with a bit of a breeze, but not too much, with bees buzzing peacefully around the fountain in St George's College, where the ceremony was held. A perfect summer's day. A perfect wedding day.

Their ceremony was held in the beautiful chapel at the St George's College ground. Bridal portraits were taken at both the college ground and University of Western Australia (UWA)across the road. The entire bridal party was up to the challenges we gave them as we filled the afternoon shoot with lots of laughters and fun.

A quick trip to the iconic Matilda Bay Boatshed for some photos was done before we headed down to Red Herring Restaurant in East Fremantle for the reception.

The evening was completed when Cassy and Leon performed their magnificent bridal waltz to the tune of "Let's Stay Together" by Al Green. There were lots of "wows" and "oohs" as the newly wed couple put up some stunning dance moves and the guests were treated to a superbly choreographed routine.

Here are some of the highlights of their day...
