Masterclass Interview with Venture Photography

Thursday, March 22, 2012 |

I have recently been interviewed by Seng from Venture Photography. We spoke primarily about Wedding Photography and our approaches to documenting our couples' special day.

This interview will provide a little insights to what we do during our wedding shoots, and for budding wedding photographers, hopefully they will be able to find some of my sharings and tips and tricks useful.

Joanne and Philip's Wedding at Quindanning

Wednesday, December 28, 2011 |

It isn't often that all the elements come together so perfectly in a wedding - gorgeous couple, gorgeous locations and great weather to boot - but they did on Jo and Phil's wedding day.

We arrived at Jo's parents' place, set like a postcard among bright yellow canola fields in bloom, and followed the bride down to Ye Olde Quindanning Inne, where the ceremony was held. It had been cloudy the whole day (which we as photographers love), and did eventually rain, with perfect timing, after the ceremony was concluded, but that set the scene for the spectacular stage we had at Springhills farmstay B&B, where Jo had arranged to have the formals done.

(We were most impressed to see Jo climbing over fences in her wedding dress and heels, with a lot more ease than the rest of us who were wearing pants and flat shoes)

It was the perfect day, and we can't thank Jo and Phil enough for putting their complete faith in us, and gamely stepping up to create these stunning images.

Jo and Phil, much love from the Autumnleaf Photography team!

Infant Portrait - Max - The new addition to the Smith family

|

It was two years ago when we documented the wedding of Cassandra and Leon in Perth. I met Cassy and Leon again in Darwin when I went there to document the wedding of Karen and Adrian in August. It was surely a pleasant surprise to see Cassy bulging in her late term pregnancy.

Little Max was born a month later. The proud parents recently brought him back to Perth for a visit. We were honoured to be asked to do a family portrait of the Smiths.

Here are some images of Max with his loving parents....
